Cases Disposed

Once a case is filed in Toledo Municipal Court, it can be resolved in a variety of ways, including by conviction, dismissal or acquittal (see Glossary for definitions of disposition types).

Since the pandemic, the Office has disposed between 5,000 and 7,000 cases per quarter. During this time, the majority of cases (65% - 67%) have ended in a conviction. Median time to disposition rose significantly during and immediately after the pandemic and again in early 2023, followed by a substantial decline through 2024 and early 2025.
